In correlation with the ideas of new media I've been taking some notes for projects that parallel them in subject.  I have taken some time to go over my notes, some themes that have been consistent;

-impermanence (unfulfilled anticipation, waiting, time)
-detachment (social, personal)
-self absorption (related to social, personal detachment)
-identity

All of these themes correspond or can be interrelated to the for mentioned practices as well as respond to one another through it.

Here is an experiment I have been working on which similarly deals with these problems.  There are similarities to Rothko here, I just took an unprimed canvas and set it on a windowsill.  By doing so I have now made a possible visual interface, a sort of transitory image. Light and darkness have there obvious relations to time, but there could be another translation, perhaps a disconnect from the canvas that becomes a lens in which time exists. It also has some cool visual effects that I think are worth playing around with. please comment.
